BAE Systems Shared Services was formed in April 2002 and marked a major step in the continued drive to deliver internal support and specialist services more effectively across BAE Systems and its partner companies.
Like many other companies, the need to make internal services more efficient and market driven led to the formation of an organisation that is fully accountable to its customers for both the cost and performance of service delivery.
Shared Services is able to pass the benefits of increased efficiency and reduced cost directly back to BAE Systems Businesses through reduced charges.
